Without knowing your time zone I don't know how long it is until 9:30. Did you sand between coats? For a smooth finish sand between coats with 220 grit sandpaper. Then use a tack cloth to remove any dust and apply one more coat. I don't know if there is enough time for it to dry before your deadline. If you sand the body you will have a smooth surface for tonight's gig and it will look good except for very close up. Then you can tack and finish after the show for a perfect finish tomorrow night.HELP!!!!!!!!! i need to fix a guitars polyurethane clear coat!?
Kiss that idea goodbye. Paint takes awhile to dry. As you just finished putting on a clear coat it takes 72 hours before it is really dry. Before you can sand it smooth and try again with a thinner coat. Otherwise it will wrinkle.
